The Business Technology Incubator of Technical Faculties Belgrade (BITF) is Serbia’s first and leading business technology incubator that provides comprehensive support to young, educated people in developing innovative ideas and starting their businesses!
For more than a decade, BITF has maintained close links with young innovators and students and through numerous activities and trainings encourages the development of new startup teams, the commercialization of innovation and R&D results, as well as the creation of new hi-tech SMEs.
Founded by four technology faculties of the University of Belgrade (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy), the Municipality of Palilula and the Democratic Transition Initiative, BITF is today part of Science Technology Park Belgrade (STP Belgrade) in charge for supporting startups at the early stages of development (Incubation Program).

Highlighting Our Key Projects: Transforming Ideas into Reality
CIRC4FOOD (Horizon Europe)
The project CIRC4FOOD – The CIRC4FOOD Alliance: A New Ecosystem for Circular and Sustainable Functional Foods, implemented under the Horizon Europe programme, focuses on developing sustainable food systems, fostering innovation in functional foods, and strengthening cooperation between research and industry. BITF is one of 19 project partners, alongside the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, which also represents Serbia in the consortium. Through the project, BITF contributes to connecting researchers, startups, and industry, fostering innovative entrepreneurship, and supporting the commercialisation of research results.
The project is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme and led by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
Technopark 3 - Innovate Forward
The Innovate Forward project supports the development of innovative entrepreneurship and connects the academic community with the startup ecosystem. BITF coordinates a project component aimed at fostering a culture of innovative entrepreneurship at faculties through training and mentoring programmes for students, researchers and young teams, support for faculties in strengthening their entrepreneurial capacities, and connections between startups, international markets and partners.
The project is supported by the Government of the Swiss Confederation and led by Science Technology Park Belgrade.
SKILLBRIDGE - Shaping the Future of Deep Tech Work and Skills through Alliances for Education and Enterprises
BITF is partner in the SKILLBRIDGE project under Erasmus+ Alliances for Innovation (Lot 1) to modernise skills development in higher education, vocational education and training, and industry. The initiative will run for three years, engaging 14 partners from Poland, Lithuania, Croatia, Spain and Serbia. More information is available here.
